A Smart Cycling On Bike class.

This event aims to promote cycling, enhance bicycle safety, and foster a sense of community engagement among residents. The Bicycle Rodeo will feature a Helmet Give away, Learn to Ride program, an Advanced Skills program, a Bicycle Repair station, and a Community Group Ride!, culminating in a bicycle giveaway to selected children from the community.

Event Schedule:

• 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Set up from Serious Cycling, Ride! Foundation, Walk n’ Rollers & Prevelo Bikes
• 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm: All stations open for timeslot participation via Google Forms
• 1:00 pm, 2:00pm, 3:00 pm - Raffle (2 random picks from donated items and 3 selected community children bicycle giveaway = 5 children x 3 time slots)
• 4:00 pm: Community Group Ride

Program Details:

• Learn to Ride Program:
  • Instructors will conduct beginner-friendly sessions for individuals of all ages.
  • Safety tips, basic riding skills, and road awareness will be covered.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to practice riding in a controlled environment.
• Advanced Skills Program:
  • Tailored for more experienced riders seeking to enhance their cycling abilities.
  • Focus on advanced maneuvering, handling obstacles, and navigating traffic safely.
  • Emphasis on building confidence and refining riding techniques.
• Bicycle Repair Station:
  • A designated area with expert mechanics offering free bicycle safety checks and minor repairs.
  • Basic maintenance workshops for participants to learn essential bike repair skills.
  • Information booths with resources on local bike shops and cycling organizations.
• Community Group Ride:
  • An inclusive ride through scenic routes in Agoura Hills, fostering community spirit.
  • Encouraging participants to apply the skills learned during the earlier programs.
  • A celebration of cycling and healthy living within the community.
